Coach Boris Karebin and BK Center are proud to announce the continued success of our Latvian student-athlete Ralfs Isalnieks, currently competing for South Georgia Tech College, who has been officially selected to participate in the prestigious All-American JUCO Invitational Showcase, taking place July 10–12.

This elite summer event brings together some of the nation’s top junior college prospects and provides a high-level platform for athletes to perform in front of college recruiters, NCAA programs, professional scouts, and basketball decision-makers from across the country. Invitations are extended only to a select group of players, making this recognition a significant achievement and a testament to Ralfs’ development, dedication, and performance on the court.

The showcase has a strong tradition of highlighting future professional talent. Over the years, similar events have featured players who later advanced to the highest levels of basketball, using this stage as an important step in their careers. Participation in such an event places Ralfs among some of the most promising junior college prospects in the nation.

Today, we proudly spotlight one of Africa’s brightest young talents — Favour Sampson, a standout member of the Nigeria U19 National Team. She recently competed at the prestigious FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Brno, Czech Republic, showcasing her rare combination of size, athleticism, and skill against the world’s top young players.

Standing nearly 2 meters tall (6-foot-7), Favour is one of the very few female athletes capable of finishing above the rim, making her a unique and powerful presence on the court. Her exceptional performance at the World Cup quickly drew attention, earning an offer from one of the premier NCAA Women’s Basketball programs in the country — the University of Texas..

Building College and Professional-Level Basketball Players

BKCentre Elite Development Program is built on one clear philosophy — long-term, professional player development designed to guide athletes from youth basketball to college competition and ultimately to the professional level.

Our system provides a complete development pathway beginning with young athletes as early as 10 years old and continuing through middle school, high school, and into the university level. Each stage of development is structured to prepare players not only technically and physically, but also mentally for the demands of high-level basketball.

As athletes progress and demonstrate commitment and competitive potential, they transition into our elite training environment. At this level, players work under individualized development plans focused on advanced skill training, basketball IQ, physical preparation, and performance consistency. Today, we introduce Santa Ozola, a women’s basketball player from Riga and a member of the Latvia women’s national under-18 basketball team.
